Step 1
We begin with an initial consultation with one of
our Sales Consultants and one of our Design Team members. The purpose of this meeting is to understand your goals for your landscape and to assess the needs of your property. Their conversation with you will include the
following questions:

What types of outdoor spaces do you need?

Space entertaining outdoors

Spaces for large groups or small

An outdoor cooking/ kitchen area

Play areas for small children
-
Sports areas for teens
-
A fire pit to make your yard "the place to be"

A space for a pool and/or hot tub sometime in the future

Are there specific issues that need to be addressed in your landscape

Accommodations for people with special needs
-
Drainage issues
-
A need to screen certain areas or views
-
A desire to preserve existing natural areas, plant material with sentimental value, or other landscape features

A low maintenance installation or a yard to allow the gardener in you flourish

What are your preferences in terms of hard surfacing, plant material, overall theme, etc.

Our staff will discuss your options for the latest materials available for decks, patios, retaining walls, etc. We will share with you the advantages and disadvantages of the different products and plant material, and make recommendations on which ones will serve your needs in the best manner.

They will also help you evaluate whether existing plant material can be revitalized, relocated, etc. You will also have help in determining what plant material should be removed.

Would you like us to design for a specific budget or to design a master plan that can be installed in phases over time?
Your site will also be extensively photographed at this meeting.
A mortgage survey and/or house plans are required to put your property on the computer accurately.
If this documentation is not available, we will hand measure your home, windows, doors, etc. for an additional fee.
Finally, at this initial meeting we will provide a detailed Design Agreement for your signature.
This Agreement, along with a deposit of 50% of
your design fee [for which your Sales Consultant
will have previously obtained your approval]
initiates the design process with our design team.
